Sustainability
The 2030 Agenda, adopted by the United Nations in 2015, is articulated in 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) covering economic, social and environmental dimensions, to address global challenges such as hunger, inequality or climate change, by 2030.
Although the SDGs have no legal implications for organizations, they constitute a roadmap and a framework for reporting on the contribution of companies to curb major planetary problems.
These goals constitute a list of trends that can be used to identify opportunities and improve sustainability.
Certifications are the tools to assess the environmental, social and economic impact of an organization or project in relation to the SDGs.
These certifications seek to recognize and promote sustainable practices in different sectors and areas to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals at a global level.
