CE Mark

The CE mark is a symbol indicating that a product complies with the safety, health and environmental protection requirements established by the European Union (EU) in order to be sold in the European Economic Area (EEA).

The process for obtaining the CE marking involves the manufacturer or the person responsible for placing the product on the market carrying out a conformity assessment, which may include laboratory testing, technical documentation and compliance with the essential safety and performance requirements established by EU legislation. The authorized testing body will perform the relevant inspections and assessments to determine whether the product complies with the safety, health and environmental protection requirements set out in the applicable directives.

If the product successfully complies with the requirements assessed by the notified body, the manufacturer may affix the CE marking on the product and issue the corresponding declaration of conformity.
