Ships and boats
Since 1999, with the Royal Decree, the obligatory technical inspections and the requirements to be met by recreational boats and their components or firefighting, rescue, radio communications and safety equipment have been regulated in order to guarantee safety at sea.
Ships and boats between 2.5 and 24 meters in length are subject to inspection. Over the last few years, the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine has been improving and optimizing the inspection service for pleasure boats, unifying documentation so that any administrative procedure is more agile and efficient. At the same time, the latest technological advances in terms of safety and rescue have been incorporated, such as the Techniques for the use of radiotelephone with DSC (digital selective call), A.I.S. etc.
At OCA Global we have a team of marine engineers/inspectors with extensive experience in the nautical sector and the mandatory technical inspections of ships (ITB). In addition to carrying out the inspection of the boats, we provide advice to have the documentation updated with the latest regulations of application, as well as in the maintenance and use of your boat, offering safety and quality of service at the best price.
