Materials testing
Material tests are those whose purpose is to determine the mechanical properties of a material.
There are different types of material tests:
- Determination of alloying elements using PMI (Positive Material Identification).
- Bending tests.
- Traction tests.
- Resilience tests.
- HV, HB, RC hardness tests.
- Macrographic and micrographic tests.
- Metallographic replicas.
- In-service failure analysis.
- Life extension studies.
These are voluntary inspections that contribute to the proper functioning of materials and helps to expand their lifespan.
