Pressure equipment directive
This directive will apply to the design, manufacture and to the conformity assessment of pressure equipment and assemblies subjected to a maximum allowable pressure PS greaten than 0.5 bar. It ensures that pressure equipment and the assemblies marketed meet the requirements that provide a high level of protection of health and safety for people, as well as protection for domestic animals and property.
The manufacturer has several ways to obtain the “CE marking” of his equipment. OCA Global is authorised to carry out the following modules:
Module A2: Internal production control plus supervised pressure equipment checks at random intervals
Internal production control plus supervised pressure equipment checks at random intervals is the conformity assessment procedure whereby the manufacturer fulfils the obligations laid down on the directive, and ensures and declares on this sole responsibility that the pressure equipment concerned satisfy the requirements of this Directive.
Module B: EU-type examination
EU-Type examination – production type
EU-type examination – production type is the part of a conformity assessment procedure in which a notified body examines the technical design of the pressure equipment and verifies and attests that the technical design of the pressure equipment meets the requirements of this Directive.
EU-Type examination – design type
EU-type examination – design type is the part of a conformity assessment procedure in which a notified body examines the technical design of the pressure equipment and verifies and attests that the technical design of the pressure equipment meets the requirements of this Directive.
Module C2: Conformity to type based on internal production control plus supervised pressure equipment checks at random intervals
Conformity to type based on internal production control plus supervised pressure equipment checks at random intervals is the part of a conformity assessment procedure whereby the manufacturer fulfils the obligations laid down in the directive, and ensures and declares on his sole responsibility that the pressure equipment concerned is in conformity with the type described in the EU-type examination certificate and that it satisfies the requirements of this Directive that apply to it.
Module F: Conformity to type based on pressure equipment verification
Conformity to type based on pressure equipment verification is the part of a conformity assessment procedure whereby the manufacturer fulfils the obligations laid down in the directive, and ensures and declares on his sole responsibility that the pressure equipment concerned, which has been subject to the provisions of point 3, is in conformity with the type described in the EU-type examination certificate and satisfies the requirements of this Directive which apply to it.
Module G: Conformity based on unit verification
Conformity based on unit verification is the conformity assessment procedure whereby the manufacturer fulfils the obligations laid down in the directive, and ensures and declares on his sole responsibility that the pressure equipment concerned, which has been subject to the provisions of point 4, is in conformity with the requirements of this Directive that apply to it.
