What is it?
The quality standard UNE-EN 15038:2006 is a specific European certification for translation services carried out by independent professionals.
The review of compliance with the standard for subsequent certification involves the study of the terminology of the sector, translation procedures, management of documentation and translation projects, equipment and technical resources, professionals and their skills and qualifications, as well as the contractual relationship with them; in addition to other requirements specific to the area of activity.
This standard requires the translation service provider to have a documented procedure for the management of translation projects and to briefly describe the different management phases.
