Particular technical specifications

What is it?

This category includes quality labels that comply with particular technical specifications from companies, organizations, and distributors on the agri-food sector, in order to have an objective, useful, and effective tool to assess the level of compliance of the products or processes of the producers, manufacturers or labellers with respect to the requirements defined in the specifications.

Our experience in the agro-livestock and food industry sectors has allowed us to work together with developers of Particular Technical Specifications to create normative documents that include and define, according to what is necessary, the requirements regarding: quality, race or genetics, feeding, breeding, animal welfare, processing systems, composition or formulation, packaging and labelling, conservation and shelf life, identification, traceability, safety, hygiene and handling, personnel competence, controls and self-monitoring, among others.

The Particular Technical Specifications system includes the following steps:

• Preparation of the technical document and control program.
• Technical audits to the production facilities of the product or service provision.
• Periodic controls of the products or services.

The purpose is to have comprehensive and functional documents that cover the entire production chain, providing safety, quality, traceability, animal welfare, and legal compliance.

As they are specific documents of a specific production sector, they allow detailing the particularities of the product and the sector of activity, supplying the absence of regulations or standards – or even limitations that in many cases these may present, as they are excessively generic.
