The objective of this consultancy is to 

• Assess and prepare a comprehensive report on Lebanon's forest resources, forestry sector and governance (including the revision of the National Forest Fire Management Strategy - NFFMS)
• Assess the institutional capacity of relevant entities for sustainable forest management
• Identify areas for improvement in SFM, forest fire management, including the forest fire management information system and relevant policies, regulations and implementation arrangements, and provide recommendations accordingly
• Identify, organize and implement capacity building and knowledge exchanges at both national and sub-national levels to strengthen SFM and forest fire management.
