OCA Global was selected to provide its consultancy services in the framework of the project "Support to tendering processes for the construction of power plants using renewable energy: Technical studies of photovoltaic power plants", funded by the European Commission (EC).
Our team has extensive experience working on solar energy development around the world, including the Americas, Asia, Africa, the Pacific, the Middle East, etc. On this occasion, OCA Global was awarded a contract by the European Commission in Ivory Coast.
The project started in June of this year and will last 36 months. It is part of the "ENERGOS II" program, the overall objective of which is to contribute to the recovery of the electricity sector in Côte d'Ivoire and to ensure its energy security in a sustainable manner, in order to provide the population with a quality energy supply at a lower cost.
In particular, OCA Global will carry out feasibility studies to enable the Ivorian State to launch tenders for the selection of independent power producers. This is expected to contribute to achieving the State's objective of producing 16% of energy from renewable sources (excluding large hydro) by 2030.
