In 1876, the brothers Díez and Pérez de Muñoz started a winemaking business in Jerez. Years later they were joined by their brother Francisco, creating Díez Hermanos; it was then that King Alfonso XII granted them the honorary title of Supplier of the Royal House and, with it, the use of the Royal Coat of Arms on invoices and labels. After a long journey, in 2016 the Espinosa family acquired the wineries and formed Bodegas y Viñedos Diez Mérito, once again giving the company its own entity by incorporating vineyards and wineries.
The Bodega Díez Mérito has the Denomination of Origin Jerez, and nowhere else in the world is this unique wine produced with its system of criaderas and soleras.
Such is the excellence of this winery that OCA Global has recently certified its Quality Management System according to the international ISO 9001 standard, both for the wineries and the wine tourism activity.
