Continuing with OCA Global's objective of international expansion, the Spanish Certification Division has initiated the training and qualification processes for the first auditor of the group's Egyptian subsidiary.
The process has been carried out both in Spain, where the future auditor has participated in several audits, and in Egypt, where last June the OCA Global auditor was supervised for his qualification as an OHSAS 18001:2007 auditor in the first client of OHSAS 18001:2007 Management Systems OCA Global Egypt.
It is about Ferrometalco Steel Construction, one of the largest steel fabrication and construction companies in the Middle East region, and whose system scope is: "Design, engineering and fabrication, erection and installation of steel structure components, boilers, LNG tanks, pressure vessels, towers, heat exchangers and piping for power plants, high-rise buildings and bridges".
During the audit of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, the auditor demonstrated his aptitude for auditing, as well as his knowledge of the subject, which helped him to obtain the auditor's qualification and thus be able to carry out the corresponding audits in the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard.
This will be followed in the coming months by the Egyptian lead auditor's qualifications in other Management System standards such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, ISO 45001:2018, etc.
