Bodegas Barbadillo, a leading company in the wine sector, which recently celebrated its bicentenary, has renewed its Quality and Environmental Management System with OCA Global and has obtained the ' Wineries for Climate Protection ' certificate, the highest distinction in environmental sustainability in the wine sector in our country. OCA Global, a certification entity authorized by the FEV, has carried out the audit for the awarding of this certificate.
The certification scheme 'Wineries for Climate Protection (WFCP)', owned by the Spanish Wine Federation (FEV), and in which OCA Global has recently been authorized to certify, is inspired by four of the principles of sustainability such as the reduction of GHG emissions, renewable energy and energy efficiency, water management and waste reduction.
Wineries for Climate Protection is the first and only specific certification for the wine sector in the field of environmental sustainability and aims to position itself as an international benchmark in the wine and environmental field, seeking solutions and best practices for wineries.
