Asfaltos Españoles, S.A. entrusts OCA Global with the inspection and testing contract

ASESA, Asfaltos Españoles, S.A., a petroleum refining company specializing in the production of asphalt bitumen installed in the Tarragona chemical complex since 1965, has entrusted OCA Global with the services of regulatory inspection of industrial safety, quality control and non-destructive testing at the Tarragona plant.

OCA Global will carry out inspections of pressure equipment, high and low voltage and chemical product storage, among other regulatory fields, as well as technical verifications and controls for new designs and modifications to the plant, inspection of safety equipment, quality control and non-destructive testing.

ASESA has a refining capacity of 1.4 million tons of crude oil per year, equivalent to 2% of Spain's total, and produces 1 million tons of asphalt bitumen per year. This amount represents 45% of the total production of this hydrocarbon in Spain, which determines its clear position as national leader.

ASESA is owned 50% by REPSOL and 50% by CEPSA, being a unique plant in Spain.
