Transition to the UNE-EN 1090-2 standard

17.07.2019

At the end of June 2018, UNE-EN 1090-2:2018 was published, which establishes the harmonized standard UNE-EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011 Execution of steel and aluminum structures - Part 1: Requirements for conformity assessment of structural components..

Now, in its Part 2: Technical requirements for steel structures, references to undated standards will apply to their latest edition, including any modifications to it. That is, UNE-EN 1090-2 will apply immediately upon publication of that standard..

It should also be noted that the Spanish translated version of this new regulation was published in March 2019.

Due to the importance of the UNE-EN 1090-2 in relation to the CE mark OCA Global has started to apply a transition period for manufacturers to adapt to these new requirements. This period will end on December 31, 2019, from which date the new conditions will be required.
