Grandvalira - ENSISA, first ski resort certified in Biological Risk Control

17.11.2020

The Andorran ski resortGrandvalira – ENSISAlast week passed the certification audit of the Biological Risk Control OCA Global, making it the first ski resort to hold such certification.

ENSISA is committed to the excellence of its processes and systems, accrediting a long experience in ISO certifications. It is certified by OCA Global for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22000. These standards will be accompanied by certification in OCA Global's proprietary Biological Risk Control standard.

The Biological Risk Control standard guarantees that Grandvalira - ENSISA complies with prevention and control measures against the transmission of diseases caused by biological agents, especially Covid-19. This referential aims to provide security to employees, suppliers and users of the resort, to be able to develop their work or leisure activities in a protected manner.

In order to obtain the certification, a correct analysis of biological risks and action protocols that reduce these risks as much as possible have been demonstrated. These protocols, together with a contingency plan, provide evidence to ensure the continuity of the station's business and the reduction of the risk of contagion.

The certification audit was carried out prior to the opening of the station to the public. After the opening and at a peak time, a second audit will be carried out to confirm the correct application of the protocols and thus ratify the certification.
