The New European Bauhaus (NEB) is an interdisciplinary creative initiative of the European Commission, which aims to give a cultural dimension to the ecological transition and connect the European Green Deal to our living spaces and experiences.
This venture expresses the EU's ambition to create beautiful, sustainable and inclusive places, products and ways of life. It promotes a new lifestyle in which sustainability is combined with style, thus accelerating the green transition in various sectors of our economy, society and everyday life. The aim is to provide all citizens with access to goods that are circular and less carbon-intensive, support the regeneration of nature and protect biodiversity.
In the context of the project, OCA Global's Consulting and Technical Advisory team will support the European Investment Bank and the European Commission's Directorate General for Regional and Urban Development (DG REGIO) in the preparation of a Project Implementation Guide for the New European Bauhaus (NEB). The objective is to facilitate the understanding of the NEB core values (sustainability, aesthetics, inclusiveness) and working principles, targeting project developers and investors (both public and private) to provide them with relevant information on how to define and prepare projects that are aligned with the NEB.
