OCA Global Chile manages Codelco Distrito Norte's compliance with environmental obligations

The Consulting and Environment division of OCA Global Chile has been awarded the contract for the management of compliance with environmental commitments associated with the biodiversity and ecosystems component for Codelco Distrito Norte (DN). Specifically, the contract considers the monitoring of environmental variables associated with the Environmental Qualification Resolutions (RCA) of the different divisions of the ND, and the issuance of the respective reports to be submitted to the Superintendence of the Environment (SMA).

The general objective of the service offered by OCA Global is to guarantee compliance with the environmental commitments required by the Environmental Authority during the environmental impact assessment process of projects currently in operation, as defined in the respective RCAs. In addition, OCA Global aims to provide strategic proposals that allow Codelco Distrito Norte to comprehensively address environmental vulnerabilities related to compliance with such commitments.

Among the services to be developed are the incorporation of Biological Indicators - Standardization of Monitoring Information; the standardization of Vegetation and Terrestrial Flora Methodologies; the generation of Aquatic Biota Information; proposals for conservation measures and the preparation of a Noise and Vibration Monitoring report.
