OCA Global manages Health and Safety in the construction of the new IKEA store in Almeria, Spain

OCA Global's Prevention division continues to achieve success in the construction sector. The giant furniture retailer IKEA has entrusted OCA Global with the construction of its new store in Almeria. Specifically, it will manage the Health and Safety coordination from the start of construction until its opening, scheduled for the summer of 2023.

The Swedish furniture and decoration company will implement in the city a "pioneering" model in Spain within its 'XS' modality, so that the store will have more than 25,000 m2 with three floors (one basement and two above ground), as well as more than 300 parking spaces.

The building has a material execution budget of 19.949 million euros for its development in the upper area of Rambla Belén, near the traffic circle at its junction with the Mediterranean Highway (A-7).

The IKEA commercial facility in Almería will also have 12,768.93 m2 of parking space, with capacity for 314 vehicles, of which 10 are for electric vehicles, ten spaces are adapted, five spaces for vans and two for vehicles with trailers. It also has 12 motorcycle parking spaces.
