Medieval Village of Zahara in Cadiz obtains the Q for Tourism Quality certification

Villa Medieval Zahara de la Sierra, in Cadiz, has been certified according to the international standard UNE-ISO 13810 for Industrial Tourism by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE) and audited by OCA Global.

This Tourism Quality Standard is a management tool created specifically for the industrial tourism sector, which certifies guided and/or self-guided tours in tourist establishments that show visitors one or more production processes of the present (living industry) or the past (industrial archeology).

In this way, during the audit process, the evaluation of the tourist information services and guided tours provided in the Villa Mediaval, which includes not only the Torre del Homenaje and Muralla, but also the Interpretation Center, is carried out. The Q of quality highlights the prestige, as well as the differentiation and reliability of its quality tourist service, at the same time that it is a recognition by the administrations and improves the perception of the users who visit it.

During this delivery all the participants valued the effort made by both the technical and human team, with the Mayor, Santiago Galván Gómez at the head, as well as the great involvement of all areas and entity which has allowed this project has become a national benchmark.

Q-INNOVATE CONSULTORES, with offices in Cadiz and Malaga, an entity with extensive experience in the tourism sector, also participated in this process as an advisor responsible for the implementation of this standard and processes.
