Last Wednesday, October 25, taking advantage of the Livestock, Industrial and Agroalimentary Fair SEPOR of Lorca, the delivery of the certificates of Animal Welfare issued by OCA Global to the livestock company of the Fuertes Group, CEFU, S.A. took place.
Cefusa has achieved the certification of its pig and cattle farms under the seals Animal Welfare Commitment B + (approved by the interprofessional INTERPORC and PROVACUNO respectively) and Animal Welfare Welfair (approved by IRTA and NEIKER). These certifications cover a total of more than 400 pig farms and 33 cattle farms.
From OCA Global we want to congratulate Cefusa again for the good work they do every day in their farms and the commitment they have maintained for years with the Animal Welfare certifications. Cefusa was the first company to obtain the double certification Animal Welfare Commitment B+ and Animal Welfare Welfair by OCA Global for pig farms, now it has also become the first company in the beef sector. These certifications assure consumers of the company's good practices in animal welfare, health, biosecurity, animal handling and traceability.
Cefusa was represented by Inmaculada Cánovas (Deputy General Manager of Cefusa), Juan Cánovas (General Manager of Cefusa) and José Fuertes (CEO of Grupo Fuertes). The presentation was made by Jaime Forment (Agri-Food Product Manager of OCA Global) accompanied by Alberto Herranz (Director of Interporc).
